A Scam Is Still A Scam

It has been a long & tiring week, yet it has had its great moments and some lesser ones also. My emotions have been on a roller coaster crashing on Monday and recovering slowly by the weekend. I am over my fit of depression but I am physically very tired. My discomfiture began when I received an email on Monday morning from my pursuer. He has been getting ever more so insistent on being in love with me having never yet met face to face. Then I got this email on Monday morning:

Hello Gerry,i am very happy to hear from you and am happy to hear,that you've deleted your profile from the site's you posted your profile,so i believe no one will be able to talk you away from me Gerry,You've won my heart and i believe we ll surely be together this weekend honey..I promise you and i will surely fulfill it Gerry,but yesterday was bad for me Honey.during our casting, i lost my wallet and all my money is in it with my credit card..About $750 us dollars in my wallet and i couldn't find it Gerry and now,i don't have any money left with me now Gerry and i will be very happy,if you can help me with $300 to hold for my food stuff till weekend,that my manager will pay us for the project..I so much believe in you Gerry and i know it,that we ll be together till the end of my life,if you re ready to be honest and sincerely with me honey,I can't wait to hear from you and i need your fast respond to this okay my love......

I had become somewhat suspicious when I spoke with him on the phone, he sounding more like he was from Lagos than Little Rock (where he purportedly is from). Turns out the email address he uses is from Russia and this turned out to be just a new twist on an old scam. Uncle Gerry felt old and foolish and heartbroken and angry all at the same time. That is why the posts in the middle of the week were somewhat cryptic and I could not write at all on Thursday when I asked Ryan to post for me (thanx buddy). So if you receive an email from anyone with a rocketmail email address be sure to get your scam radar up and running immediately. Don't waste your heartstrings on someone who will ultimately cut them to ribbons anyway. With that said, let's move on to more pleasant things before I start to cry again over something I should have recognized quicker.
