Karaoke, Soldiers, Boats, Bikers And Vinyl

Sunset In Amorgos, Greece

Drunken Karaoke was a hoot last night with a big crowd in for the Cash Prize contest. There were some surprisingly good singers there too for a change. Along about 10 PM the DJ made the announcement that our club Classics has been in touch with Ellen Degeneres for a possible feature story on her show as you know we have a great lesbian crowd for Karaoke every week, so you may be able to see my little corner of the world on Ellen on day soon. We also had the Army Honor Guard in town for a funeral. I swear they could not get 8 more hunky guys for this detail than what they have now. I have my favorite among them who is soooooooo cute, he is at least 21 because he can get in Classics, with the typical buzz cut and that all American boy next door look about him. Horribly straight but he is the semi shy type with an easy blush factor. He keeps forgetting to grab his room key so he has to come to the desk several times during the evening so I can make him another key. SG thinks I am incorrigible for flirting with him but it is all in good fun. It usually goes right over his head anyway so no harm no foul, but I sure have a good time looking. Classics has a vinyl night coming up where they actually play records. For those of you too young to remember them they are like CD's only bigger and made out of a vinyl material with the sound recorded in grooves for play back with a turn table and needle arm. That is why the music companies are usually referred to as Record Companies and the Long Playing Album was the staple of music recording from the 1950's to the 1980's when CD's took over the market. Also coming up every fourth Wednesday is Biker night where the local Thunder Road chapter shows up in force and the front of the hotel is covered in some high price custom bikes lit up like Christmas trees and there is leather everywhere.

It is finally drying out somewhat around here and warming up. Today I had Robins and Blue Jays playing in the yard and trees in front of my quarters. I really have to get a camera for some of the things I come in contact with on a regular basis around here. It is supposed to be warm and sunny this weekend with the river returning to normal levels so we are planning our excursion to the Razorback for Sunday after services at Open Door. I will try to pick up a camera before we go so we can upload some photos of the sub. I should be able to give you a good rundown on the experience come Monday morning.

I was going to post some Nuke video but You Tube is non functioning at the moment I am writing this so they will have to wait for a later post. Now that March Madness is over the soaps are back on CBS (Thank you so much!). So there should finally be some regular Nuke features once again. That about covers it for this morning so I will leave you with your man fix from the archives and catch you here again tomorrow. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
