I know I have been remiss in my posting, but I just really have not had that much to say and my days have just seemed to run together non stop. Today is a good day, my gal pal and her bf have arranged for me to meet someone new and today is our first meeting. I am looking forward to it, he is somewhat younger than me (who isn't?). We have spoken on the phone and he seems to be a reasonably intelligent man with whom I can carry a conversation. He is also purported to be good looking, so maybe we will click and may be we won't, but Uncle Gerry has got to put himself out there or we will never know. I will keep you posted.
The house vote on ENDA is coming up this week, so if you have not contacted your congressional representative, now is the time to do so. Be sure to tell them you are in favor of the trans-inclusive amendment (if you are) as we should try for all that we can get even if George is going to veto it. One day soon, he will be gone and we will get this passed and signed into law. One day soon, Americans will get over their homophobia as the cranky old farts in the right wingnut leadership die off and are replaced by some more reasonable persons who have grown up knowing people of all persuasions who actually believe that God loves us all. Until that day we must continue to remind those who represent us in congress that we will not disappear into the woodwork just because someone thinks we should.
I have to get ready for my first date so I will leave you with some eye candy to enjoy!
