One of the many subscriptions I have on Your Tube is the Cooking with Jack Show which is actually one of Will's discoveries. We have been watching Jack Scalfoni cook for a few years now and several of his recipes have made it into my culinary repertoire. Either as is or slightly modified to fit our tastes. Jack also has a website where you can grab all his recipes or submit your own, just go to CookingWith Jack.com. Back on the August 22 Show, Jack featured new product reviews for the NuWave Oven and the Jerky Gun. I was not wowed by the Jerky Gun, to me Beef Jerky is made from cuts other than ground beef, but that's just me. The NuWave Oven however was a find I could not pass up.
Will found it on sale on Amazon and I ordered it. When I sat down to write this post, I was awaiting the arrival of the UPS man with my new Nu-Wave Oven, which is why the title of this post is Anticipation. However, true to form, UPS got here midday and I am not the proud owner of a NuWave Pro Plus Infrared Oven. I have not yet assembled it, although I have taken it out of the box. The book has 17 pages of instructions to read before I start trying to mess about with it, but I am looking forward to discovering what all I can do. The oven comes with a recipe book and I bought an e-book with 250 recipes for this oven, so I will probably have lots to discover and pass along to you as we explore all the ways to use it. So I am still full of anticipation and eager to discover this new, supposedly healthier way to cook. Stay tuned for the results of my experiments.
As for the Music today, I decided to go with French Composer Hector Berlioz and two of his most well known works. Posted down below is Berlioz' Symphonie Fantastique, his most famous composition recorded live in May of this year at the TivoliVrendenburg Theater in Utrecht, Netherlands. The performance is by the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of James Gaffigan and the Radio Choir is under the direction of Klaas Stok. Over on my tumblr, I have Harold in Italy, A symphony in four parts with a Viola Solo. That performance is a classic one from 1962 featuring the Philharmonia Orchestra under Sir Colin Davis with Yehudi Menuhin as the Viola Soloist.
Since this is Tuesday, I have loaded you up with a bucketful of beautiful boys who have grown into gorgeous guys in this week's edition of Random Hotness posted down below. Over on my tumblr your Hottie of the Day!, "Hey, Sailor" is wearing Commanders stripes. My only question?: "What are your orders, Sir!". He could command me to do a great many things, lol. Thanks for the visit, see you again soon. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
