However, as I said yesterday, better late than never. That being said, let's get on with the show, shall we? I have 3 Fabulous Live Performances to share with you today featuring the works of three great Composers, Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig von Beethoven and Franz Schubert.
In the play list posted below, we join renowned Cellist Yo Yo Ma in concert with friends for two fabulous performances. First up is the 1986 performance of Brahms Double Concerto for Violin, Cello and Orchestra recorded in Suntory Hall, Tokyo. Yo Yo Ma is joined by Isaac Stern as the Violin Soloist and Kazuyoshi Akiyama conducts the NHK Symphony Orchestra. Fast forward about 9 years and we join Yo You Ma for Beethoven's Triple Concerto for Violin Cello, Piano and Orchestra along with Itzhak Perlman as the Violin Soloist and Daniel Barenboim who conducts the unnamed orchestra from the Piano.
Meanwhile over on my tumblr, you may join Yo Yo Ma accompanied by Rudolf Firkušný on Piano for their 1992 Tokyo Performance in Suntory Hall of Franz Schubert's Arpeggione Sonata for Cello and Piano.
