Happy St Patty's Day to all ye who are Irish, even if just for today! What began as a religious festival for Ireland's Patron Saint has become an international day for millions of folks world wide to be 'Irish for a day' and party their asses off! Celebrated with Green Beer, parties and parades, speeches and songs, and of course lots of drinking of anything with alcohol in it. Having some Irish roots my self (I am or was a Ginger), I think I will enjoy the day but avoid the crowds. I will have to deal with them soon enough when I get to work at 10 for truck night. That should be fun, inventory and drunks equally scattered about the store, yee hah!
Anyway, to celebrate the occasion, you Musical Moment for St Patrick's Day is an hour of Traditional Irish Jigs and Reels. The play list is annotated in the video so you will have to look there for the names of the tunes, but it is a pleasant hour of Irish folk music that will have your toes a tappin'.
