Saturday Evening Concert

Welcome to the Weekend and your Saturday Evening Concert.  I have another Fabulous live performance lined up for you tonight.  In fact, tonight's performance not only offers superb musicianship but the featured artists aren't half bad to look at either in the devastatingly handsome and amazingly talented duo of Stepjan Hauser and Luka Sulic, collectively known as 2CELLOS. Stjepan and Luka, both classically trained musicians, continue to nurture and develop their classical music repertoire. The 2CELLOS are ambassadors of classical music and their vision is to spread classical music to a wider audience through their performances.  In the summer of 2012, the duo recorded a concert performance for a Concert DVD release "Live at Arena Zagreb" in Zagreb, Croatia.

The play list for tonight features works by several composers with both duet and solo performances in concert with the Zagreb Soloists.  You may find the complete play list here.  I have another Fabulous live performance for you over on my tumblr with a 1997 recording at the Birmingham Symphony Hall with British Violinist Vanessa Mae performing works by various composers and collaborating with other musician friends.
