TGIF!

After having worked for so many years in the hospitality and or service related industries, it is not within the normal realm of my experience to have regular weekends off.  But I could get used to this.  My body is finally beginning to adjust to the new schedule so I am not so tired heading into Friday as I was last week.  Of course it helps that I did not have a mad long list of crap to accomplish yesterday and today before heading into a 10 hour shift like last week either.  It does add some perspective to the day when you head in knowing that no matter what comes down the pike, when the day is done, I have 2 days off.  The knowing I don't have to return in a few hours removes the pressure of a timely finish to my duties irrespective of when the trucks arrive is somewhat liberating.  It also relieves almost all the self inflicted stress of the whole 'Fraturday' thing.  I guess that means I can genuinely say TGIF! because I do indeed have the weekends off.  Will wonders never cease?

I am in a mellow mood today, therefore your Musical Moment for Friday features the Mellow, Melodic Suites for Theorbo composed by Robert De Visee.  The Theorbo is the larger cousin of the Lute with an additional pegboard on its extended neck for longer strings to allow the lower range of notes to be reached.  Today's excellent performance is by French Theorbist Pascal Monteilhet and a complete play list of the 38 tracks may be found here.  You may also join M Monteilhet over on my tumblr for his performance of De Visee's 'La Royale' Suite for Theorbo.  This is of course after checking out all the Fantasy Fuel in the post below this one.  Oh and then there is also the Hottie of the Day! once you do make it over to my tumblr.  Thanks for the visit, be sure to stop by for the Saturday Evening Concert to see who and what I have in store for your Fabulous Live Performance of the Week.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
