Saturday at the Symphony Evening Concert

Welcome to the weekend and your Saturday at the Symphony Evening Concert.  I am happy to report that unlike last week's Halloween Nightmare with goblins in the electronics, last night's shift went smooth as silk.  The trucks arrived in such a manner so that by the time the next truck arrived, the work was completed from the last one.  By 2:45 everything was done and over with meaning I got to go home on time.  I headed to the house with the satisfaction of a job well done.  Although I am indeed tired, I am not exhausted like last week.  

Your Saturday at the Symphony Evening Concert features the Symphonic Dances, Opus 45 by Sergei Rahmaninov recorded live at a Sunday Morning Concert at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.  Tonight's performance is by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra  under the baton of Edward Gardner.  In a twist on this composition, the Symphonic Dances are transcribed for two Pianos and performed by the husband/wife Piano Duo of Julian Thurber and Ingryd Thorson which you may hear over on my tumblr.
