Saturday at the Symphony Evening Concert

Welcome to the weekend and your National Coming Out Day edition of the Evening Concert.  Friday was a very busy night that had both its challenges and its very bright moments.  About mid shift (for me that is 9-11 when I am by my self on a Friday night) we acquired a lot of rain.  Luckily the really nasty storms stayed south of town so we did not get exceedingly high winds or hail.  It did cool the place down, today's high was in the 60's instead of the 90's like it has been all week.   This always means more business for some reason and it has been like that no matter what store I have worked in.  We can be dead for hours, but let 1 drop of rain fall and everyone all of the sudden has a compelling need to run to the 7 Eleven, lol.  Now every 6 months or so, our grocery supplier scrambles the drives on the routes meaning we have to break in a new crew.  Add the rain to that and I knew the truck would be late, which is most assuredly was.

But I digress.  I wanted to give a shout out to a couple of my customers who have become Nichevo fans here of late.  They are an outgoing and gregarious guy and gal with whom I have shared many a wickedly funny moment.  They came in about midnight while it was still raining.  I loved his comment to me as he was coming in the door: "Do you know what I look like when she looks at a dick fest like your blog?"  I to ld them just do a search on the tag "Furry Friday" and it would be all better (he is somewhat 'furry' himself, you see).  I just love them to death!

Yesterday was also the birthday of the United States Navy.  When I was growing up, what is now NAS Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base was Carswell AF Base which housed the B 52 Squadrons in WWII.  Anyway, to celebrate the Navy birthday, there was a Navy Ball at one of the hotels downtown.  I had loved it earlier in the evening when a JAG LT came in with her girlfriend on the way to the ball.  The LT was a lawyer (Judge Advocate General Corps) and in dress blues.  Her girlfriend had on a gorgeous purple gown.  The LT was impressed when I said "You're JAG aren't you?" which she confirmed.  Much later in the evening they arrived on their way home by taxi and they strolled off hand in hand across the street (it had stopped raining by then).

About 1 AM while patiently awaiting the arrival of the grocery truck when these to 20 something ladies come in.  They browsed about for a bit before coming to the counter with some drinks.  They were conversing about being a bit hungry, one had snacks and one did not.  Then the one says to the other one, "I'm not gonna buy anything, I have this big meat stick at home.".  Without missing a beat, I say "oh really, what's his name?" and she damn near busted a gut laughing.  This triggered a comment from the other lady, turns out they both teach 8th graders.  The second lady told a story about a counting game she was using in class on Friday .  The class was mostly hormone charged adolescent jocks and I busted a gut when she said the name of the game was 'Balls Galore!'.  What a hoot!

The truck finally arrived and check in was done by about 2:10.  My buddy and I busted our asses and unbelievably finished absolutely all the chores in the store by the time I left at 3:15.  I was way proud of that.  The store was clean, polished and nothing was out of place anywhere.  I did not have any qualm's then about leaving my buddy on his own so I could get some rest.  When I returned to work this afternoon, I got great mileage of the story about the two teachers and the JAG LT and her girlfriend which served as sort of my coming out to some people who had no clue for National Coming Out Day.  So I observed the day as best I could and had fun doing it.  So now on to the entertainment portion of this post...

This evening's concert features the music of Juan Cristosomo de Arriaga.  Juan Crisóstomo Jacobo Antonio de Arriaga y Balzola (January 27, 1806 – January 17, 1826) was a Spanish composer. He was nicknamed "the Spanish Mozart" after he died, because, like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, he was both a child prodigy and an accomplished composer who died young. They also shared the same first and second baptismal names; and they shared the same birthday, January 27 (fifty years apart).  Down below you will find his most popular work which I heard on WRR earlier this week, hence today's choice of music.  The Cypress Symphony Orchestra under the baton of by Markus Theinert performed this jewel by the "Spanish Mozart", Juan Crisostomo de Arriaga, live at the Rialto Theatre in Nicosia, Cypress.  You may also hear the Sinfonia a la Gran Orquestra by the Spanish 'Mozart' with a performance by the Orquestra Escola de Musica from the Universidade Federal de Bahia over on my tumblr.

Finally for this Saturday I have an exquisite group of photographic portraits whose subjects are Naked or Nearly So.  I strove to select photographs which exude the very spirit or sensuality of the young men who are the subjects of the portraits.  I must say I think I carried it off exceedingly well.  Additional Naked Numminess can be seen in Brock Yurich who is your Hottie of the Day! over on my tumblr.  Thanks for sharing part of your weekend with me, see you again on Monday for another week of Music, Men & More!  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
