MNF, Marriage Equality, Music & Men

The best part of Monday Night Football occurred before the game!  Let me set the scene for you:  the Edward R Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO filled to capacity for the game between the hometown Rams and NFC West Rival SF 49ers.  As is traditional, the National Anthem was to be played before the game.  Up to the microphone steps 31 year old Bobby Yang.  Bobby Yang is a true American original, a rock violinist who hangs out with Kevin Costner (and plays in his band), but who has recorded two rock CDs and has covered as much Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Rush, Van Halen, Charlie Daniels, Guns ‘N’ Roses and Michael Jackson as he has Paganini, Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach.  Yang plays only an acoustic Violin, the only amplification last night was from the microphone in front of him.  As he began playing, the crowd gradually became silent.  The only voice you heard was Yang's Violin as he absolutely mesmerized the crowd with his performance.  His bow flip at the end showed he knew he had nailed it and the crowd was totally appreciative, cheering wildly for both the National Anthem and his virtuoso performance.  I have posted the video below this paragraph in case you missed it live.

In other good news from Sunday and Monday, Marriage Equality came to 3 more states, Alaska, Idaho and West Virginia.  The neanderthal Governors of Alaska and Idaho vowed to continue the fight against Marriage Equality not realizing they are beating a dead horse and will be assigned their appropriate place in the dust bin of history.  I have posted a chart below so you can check out where the battle stands as of Monday.
