Paying the Piper

Here in North Texas, like many places in the south, we are often blessed with mild winters.  We have a great many days that are sunny and warm with temperatures in the mid to upper seventies.  However Mother Nature extracts a payment for all the beautifully warm weather we usually get this time of year.  Today it is our turn here in North Texas to pay the piper in the form of a winter storm.  Beginning this evening with freezing rain and ice.  The forecast over night low is 25 degrees and continued freezing rain.  The morning will bring sleet and freezing rain and a high of only  28.  The temperature will then plunge to 16 degrees over night which will do nothing to relieve the icy conditions.  The ice and freezing rain is forecast to last all through the weekend.  We will have to wait until Monday for the temperature to again creep above the freezing mark.  However the clouds will remain until Tuesday when the sun will again make its appearance along with milder temperatures.  The long range forecast is for the warmer temperatures to continue through Christmas.  If you live in or plan to visit the DFW area this weekend, be prepared for icy roads and a cold wind.  Now would be the time to make sure you have plenty of wood for the fireplace as it will be snuggling weather all weekend.  Bundle up, be careful when driving about the area or a better idea would be to stay home and snuggle by the fire with your honey and a hot toddy.

Your Musical Moment for today features the 25 Anniversary Concert of the Osiris Trio recorded live at the Muziekgebouw aan't IG in Amsterdam on November 30, 2013.  The concert includes a world premiere of a piece written especially for the trio as well as many of the same works played in their debut concert 25 years ago.  The play list includes Trio Opus 1, Number 1 by Ludwig von Beethoven; Transfigued Night by Arnold Schönberg and Eduard Steuermann; the world premiere of Akhenaton by Oene van Geel; La revue de cuisine by Bohuslav Martinu and the Piano Trio in C Major, Opus 66 by Felix Mendohlsson.  Guest artists appearing with the Osiris Trio are Lars Wouters van den oudenweijer on Clarinet, Bram van Sambeek on Bassoon and Frank Braafhart on Trumpet.

Lounging about the page below the video are a number of suitably sizzling and sexy Men In Jeans for your visual appreciation.  Thanks for sharing part of your day with me, see you again tomorrow.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
