Best of the Web This Week

With the wealth of photographs collected over the last two weeks, it took a while to get through the sifting, sorting and selecting process to produce this expanded rendition of the Best of the Web This Week.  I guarantee that the results are worth the wait as there are some exquisite examples of the fine art of the male form contained in the 120 photographs on display below.  Before we get into the review, I must make note of the Christmas miracle in the State of Utah courtesy of the unexpected Federal District 10 ruling striking down Utah's ban on same sex marriage yesterday.  The state Republican leadership as well as the powers that be in the Mormon cult are apoplectic and promising an appeal challenging the ruling although they were unsuccessful in getting a stay of the ruling until said appeal could be filed.  The ruling was effective immediately and there was a flood of same sex couples rushing to the courthouse to take advantage of the ruling to get their marriage licenses.  There were still 75 couples at the tagged end of the line at midnight last night but officials promised to process all of their applications before closing up shop for the day.  This brings the number of states with Marriage Equality to 18 plus the District of Columbia.  It truly has been an amazing year of progress for the progressive forces of LGBT Equality.  Let's hope we keep the momentum in our favor as we enter the New Year.
