Still Waiting

It seems the foolishness going on in Washington right now is affecting my life in a big way.   The SS Administration sent me a letter written before the shutdown, stating they were going to send me another payment 'on or around September 8'.  That was last Tuesday, it is now Friday and I am still waiting to see the money.  That means I have to try and raise someone in the local office on the phone to see if we straighten this out.  I am by no means hopeful that this will be a short process.  Thank you very much to the Tea Party radicals who are holding the rest of the country hostage while they sit on there duffs drawing a pay check.  Yes, they made sure their pay would go on while the people who actually need the money to make things work at home get nothing.  They better get their shit together soon, putting people out of work and not paying out the pensions to their recipients be they retiree, veteran or disabled is not the way to win friends and influence people.  Neither is destroying the economy in their quest to do 'anything and everything to obstruct' social progress and the ability of the government to function.  Must be nice to be a Congress person, getting paid to sit on their ass while screwing the rest of us.  Where do I sign up?

Your Musical Moment for today features the Music of Antonio Vivaldi with his 6 Concerti per Violino "per le Solennità".  The performance is by Sonatori de la Gioiosa Marca featuring Giuliano Carmignola on Solo Violin.  Included in the play list are Concerto "Per La Sollenità della S.Lingua di S.Antonio di Padua" in D major RV 212; Concerto "Il Riposo - per il S. Natale" in E major RV 270; Concerto "Per La Sollenità di S.Lorenzo" in F majort RV 286; Concerto in due Cori "Per la Santissima Assunzione di Maria Vergine" in D major RV 582; Concerto in due Cori "Per la Santissima Assunzione di Maria Vergine" in C major RV 581 and Concerto "LDBV" ("Grosso Mogul") in D major RV 208.

Then to celebrate Friday and the Weekend I have deliciously sexy set of selections for this week's edition of  Naked or Nearly So for your visual appreciation as you make your way down the page.  Thanks for sharing part of your Friday with me, see you over the weekend for this weeks review of the Best of the Web This Week.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!

Hey Uncle Gerry,

I'm sorry they've held up your money. I read today where the Republicans were proposing cuts to social Security-- and was incensed. Just thinking about it again is making my head pound. I hope this gets fixed for you very soon. **huggz**
