Hawaii, Boston, Beethoven and Men In Jeans

In yesterday's post, I mentioned the Hawaiian Senate committe passing the Marriage Equality bill out of committee to the Senate floor for a vote.  That vote came last night resulting in a 20-4 victory for the Marriage Equality.  The bill now goes to the Hawaiian House, where Democratic Representatives outnumber the Republicans 44-7.  The measure is expected to pass the Hawaiian House also sending the bill to Governor Neil Abercrombie for his signature.  Abercrombie, a long time proponent of Marriage Equality, who called this Special Session of the Legislature in order to pass Marriage Equality has vowed to sign the bill into law when it reaches his desk.  Hawaiians should not break out the Wedding Bells and Rice just yet, but soon, very soon.  This will make 15 states plus DC with Marriage Equality.  Another step in the right direction with more to come.

In Sports News, Congratulations go out to the Boston Red Sox who defeated the St Louis Cardinals 6-1 in Game Six of the World Series to become this year's Baseball World Champion.  The World Series win completes the 'worst to first' one season turn around for the Red Sox who last year were the worst team in the league.  However, this year was a totally different story as they so joyously proved Wednesday at Fenway Park in Boston surrounded by their loyal fans.  It was a party a long time in coming since the last World Series clincher in Boston.  It was in fact 95 years in the making since Babe Ruth and the Red Sox of 1918 also clinched at Fenway.  Congratulations once again, Red Sox, Party On!

Since this is Thursday and Halloween, I could have done ghouls and goblins, but I figured you would rather have hunky, hale and hearty Men In Jeans instead.  I am sure there will be plenty of Halloween around the web, so I needn't add to it.  Thanks for sharing part of your day with me, see you again soon.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
