The House of Lords over across the pond passed the Marriage Equality law earlier this week and sent it back to the House of Commons who approved it without opposing the slight adjustments made by the Lords.  The House of Commons then sent on to Queen Elizabeth II for her Royal Assent.  She has given her Assent and signed the measure; it will become the law of the land in England and Wales in 2014.  Scotland is also considering Marriage Equality, however Northern Ireland has rejected such a measure.  Congratulations to all those LGBT folks in England wishing to join together in Matrimony, start planning your weddings.  Now if only we could get the good folks in Washington and the 37 Statehouses that still oppose Marriage Equality to get on the same page as the other 13 States, DC and now England (among other countries), we would have Marriage Equality nation wide here too.  I sure hope we don't have to wait for every wing nut in America to die before that happens.
