Wait and See

I would like to offer my thanks to all those who responded to my request for advice in my post A Car Conundrum either here on Blogger or over at Facebook.  All the advice had the same general gist which is not to trust my former employer as he has shown himself to be devious and duplicitous, if he wants the vehicle in question he should come get it himself, I should not allow myself to be lured to his location and stranded and, with the exception of my Mother, all have advised not to get into a contractual obligation with him as he is untrustworthy.  After pondering my options, I have adopted a wait and see attitude so that I might discover his next move.  Basically, I am calling his bluff in that if he wants the vehicle bad enough, he will come get it.  I have somewhat of an ace in hole in that he knows where I work but, since I have moved, he does not know where I live.  I do not feel any obligation to inform him of such either.  Unless he does something totally stupid like call and report the car stolen, which I can prove is a false claim with help from the Captain of the FWPD, I may just wait him out until my SS Benefits kick in.  At that point I can purchase a different vehicle, then allow him the knowledge of where he may recover the vehicle which will not be my place of domicile.  I am not a fool and do not wish to be considered as such.  Therefore, as knowledge is power, I will withhold knowledge from him and retain the power.  I in the end have the winning hand and will take the pot whether he likes it or not.  After all that I have suffered at his or his minions hands over the last few years, I find it fitting that he is in a state of consternation because he can no longer control neither me nor the events in my life with his capricious whims of the moment.  Is it wrong to take some delight in that?  I think not.
