Massive Explosion Devastates West, TX

Our Internet access was non existent for most of the night due to an outage in the area.  When our access was restored, every news or commentary site I regularly visit (and some I don't) were abuzz with the news of the massive explosion at the fertilizer plant in West, TX about 80 miles south of us.  Our Skype buddies were all concerned that we had been hurt or killed in the explosion, which leveled a nearby apartment complex, because we were not on line to tell them otherwise.  The explosion has killed from 5-15 people and injured hundreds more, first responders from the police and firefighters are among the missing.  The explosion came around 8 PM last night after an initial fire at 7:30.  The 5 block area immediately surrounding the plant was decimated with houses, an apartment complex and a nursing home either destroyed or damaged.  Area residents were evacuated in case of further explosions from other materials in the plant.  The explosion has gathered international media attention, even the Pope has responded with a call for prayer for those affected by this event.  Coverage from Towleroad, Americablog, David Mixner, The Dallas Morning News and The Fort Worth Star Telegram can be seen by clicking on the links.  Coverage includes text, video and photos to give you a rather terrifying look this event and the aftermath.  How many more horrific events can we pack into this week?   First Boston, then the Ricin letters in DC and now this in West, TX, I certainly hope events calm down as the rest of the week progresses.

I was listening to Venice Classic Radio yesterday afternoon when they played some interesting Violin music by Francesco Maria Veracini.  So for your Musical Moment for today, I went looking for some of his music on You Tube.  I found this video of 6 Dissertazioni sull' Op V del Corelli ( 6 dissertations or variations on the Opera, Opus 5 by Archangelo Correlli) which is a terrific listening experience.  Today's performance is by Federico Guglielmo on Violin and Andrea Coen on Harpsichord.

Then because it is raining outside, I found myself in the mood for some sexy wetness for you guys to enjoy along with me today.  This collection of hard bodied hunks in varying degrees of aquatic inundation frolicking about the beaches, pools and showers in this edition of Wet should engender a lascivious thought to entertain you on your scroll down the page.  Thanks for visiting today, see you again tomorrow.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
