Yesterday did not go exactly like I planned it. Yes, I did bask in the sun on the balcony for a bit before I headed inside, took my medicine and my sleepy pills and was in bed by 11. Apparently while I was asleep, the boss called and left a message asking me to work last night. When I am in bed, even if I hear the phone (and in this case I did not hear it), I usually do not get up and answer it figuring if it is important enough they will leave a message. Since I did not hear the phone ring, or the text message that followed, when I got up last evening, I did not rush to the phone to check my messages. I fixed dinner, Will and I ate, then I lay down for a nap after dinner like I usually do on my day off. Along about 10 o'clock the phone starts ringing. It is across the room from me and I choose to let it go to voice mail. Then it rings again, then a text message comes in. Because I was trying to nap and not picking up the phone, they called Will to see if I was home. Will was reluctant to wake me, but he finally did so. So basically I got called in to work. Not such a bad thing as extra hours is more money in the pay check. So I get to work around 10:30 and the guy who was so impatient for me to get there so he could leave, proceeded to BS with my coworker on the front porch of the store for about 20 minutes before he actually left. At any rate, Tuesday is truck night and I had things to do so I went about my business. The Grocery delivery came about 11:30 and the Commissary delivery about 1:30. My coworker and I got it all put away and got the store ready to go for shift change at 6. Only the day shift did not show up until 7. So not only did I work on my day off but I had to wait for the girls to decide to show up before I could go home.
Even the drive home was frustrating, as there was a wreck on freeway because of the rain we were getting, so I had to take the city streets home or wait in traffic. The city streets were not bad, but because of the time, there was school zones and school buses loading munchkins to impede progress along the way. I finally get home and get to work on the blog, making the play list and selecting the photos, getting them uploaded to Picasa Web Albums for transfer to Blogger, etc. Then the interface between the Web Albums and Blogger decided to be a bitch and what should have been a 5 minute process to more than 45 minutes to complete. Finally I got all the photos posted in the order I wanted them and then I was finally able to sit down and bitch about how shit was fucked up from last night to now. So, here we are and I got the bitchin' off my chest and now I am ready for some Music and some Men, how about you?
Your Midweek Musical Moment play list features the Violin Concerto Number 5, K219 and the Piano Concerto Number 23,
K488 both in the key of A Major by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The You
Tuber who uploaded the videos did not list the performers so I cannot
pass that information on to you. However, the performance is still a good one, so all is well that ends well. After the play list is this week's collection of Hump Day Hunks to inspire your journey over the hump and down hill towards the weekend, all so painstakingly posted as noted above. Thanks for spending part of your day here at Nichevo. Thanks also for listening to me rant on for a bit. See you again tomorrow. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
