Here we are on Monday of Super Bowl week where there will be much hype and ballyhoo coming out of New Orleans as the world gets ready for its most watched sporting event. It should be a good game which I hope results in a victory for the Baltimore Ravens. Not that I am a particular fan of the Ravens other than our most outspoken NFL ally, Brenden Ayanbedejo, but I have a particular dislike of the 49ers due to their rivalry with the Cowboys. On the face of the contest, both teams have solid offenses with wonderkind Colin Kapoernik of the 49ers being the more 'showy' of the two starting quarterbacks. However it has always been said in the NFL that offense wins games but defense wins championships. If this holds true, then Baltimore has the edge in the game with their oustandingly stingy defense led by Ray Lewis in his final season. I will be watching on Sunday evening with most of the rest of the world to see how this turns out as well as scoping out all the multimillion dollar commercials the Super Bowl is so famous for. I am not overly excited about the Beyonce halftime show, but then she doesn't play the Cello, now does she? I am sure I will enjoy the spectacle of it all and will report on my observations right here next Monday.
Your Monday Musical Interlude features Janine Jansen performing the Violin Concerto in E Minor, Opus 64 by Felix Mendelssohn with the BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Roger Norrington at the BBC Proms.
Last but certainly not least is this collection of nubile youth and handsome hunks lounging about in their Monday's Undies to brighten your Monday and mine. Thanks for spending some time with me today, see you again tomorrow. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
