Best of the Web This Week

Happy Saturday everyone.  I am right bushed this morning because I ran my ass off last night at work.  Nothing too weird happened, just lots of business and lots of stuff to put up. I may not stay up much past getting this post to you guys so I can rest up for the madness that is Saturday night at the corner of Crazy Avenue and Stupid Street.  What better way to celebrate a Spring Saturday than with some Beautiful Baroque and some extremely Lickable Lads in today's photographic review of the Best of the Web This Week?  Nothing finer comes to mind, so let's just get on with it.  For today's play list I have 3 works by Luigi Boccherini. First up in his Sonata for Cello and Basso Continuo in A Major (G4) with a performance by Anner Bylsma (solo cello); Wieland Kuijken (continuo cello); and Hopkinson Smith (baroque guitar). Then I have two performances by Le Concert de Nations / Jordi Savall (conductor) featuring Manfred Kraemer (violin I); Pablo Valetti (violin II); José de Udaeta (castanets); Bruno Cocset (cello); and Rolf Lislevand (baroque guitar). Their first piece is the Fandango Quintet in D Major (G448) followed by La Musica Notturna delle Strade di Madrid, Opus 30, Number 6 (G 324).  Close on the heels of the play list are my selections for the finest photographs of which I collected this week.   Have a fabulous weekend and we will see you on Monday.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
