Super Tuesday

I am feeling better this morning, grateful that for whatever reason, the viral malady I acquired over the weekend is apparently a short lived one.  My visit to the doctor yesterday went OK.  They got me in a half hour before my appointment time which was a good thing.  My doctor added another medication to my regimen and doubled the dosage of my diabetes medicine, Metformin.  We shall see if this drops my blood sugar below the recently alarming high numbers I have been getting when I test for it.

Anyway, enough about me, it is Super Tuesday as 10 states hold their primaries with 437 of the 1144 delegates necessary for the Republican nomination are up for grabs.  In the key battleground state of Ohio, Mr 'say anything to get elected' Romney is running neck and neck with Mr 'sexist homophobic theocrat' Santorum.  Today will either clarify the race or muddy up the waters completely, extending the comedy of errors in this little political drama.  What is not surprising is most people, including most Republicans are somewhat disdainful of the choices available.  As the candidates vie to see who can out Cro-Magnon the other and lead the mass of the GOP to the right of Atilla the Hun, the Democrats are secretly licking their chops in anticipation of flinging all of the Republicans' insanity back in their face in the run up to the November election.  It should be very interesting around here for the next few months and those of us who support the President should not rest on our laurels but constantly work towards insuring Mr Obama gets re-elected so that we can continue our progress in our march to full equality under the law.  It is not a time for any of us to fall asleep at the wheel when allowing any of the unacceptable alternatives to the leadership of Mr Obama to get elected  would be akin to playing Russian Roulette with a fully loaded gun as far as the rights of  the LGBTQ community are concerned.  While Mr Obama has not had a perfect record when it comes to being supportive of all things LGBTQ,  his record is by far more stellar than any other President in my recollection (which goes back to Ike and JFK).  It will definitely be interesting to see how this day plays out for those seeking to replace the President.

NOw, that is enough politics, lets get to the music and the men, shall we?  Today's musical selection is a classic recording of a 1954 live performance of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Hermann Amendroth performing Symphony Number 3 in F Major, Opus 90 by Johannes Brahms.  Following the video is this week's edition of supremely sultry Sex Studs in Swimwear on display for your perusal and approval.  Thanks for the visit, see you again tomorrow.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
