Marvelous Monday

I came home from work after working an hour over my shift again, sat down at the computer and drifted off to sleep in my chair.  Hence I am running a tad bit behind in getting this out to you guys.  However not to fear, I did my home work last night and have the music and the men lined up for you already, I just need some thing plausible to talk about.  Lacking that ever elusive topic for cogent conversation, I guess I should just get on with the music and the men.  I have an excellent symphony for you today from a rather obscure composer who was a contemporary of Brahms and Schubert.  Born in the part of Austria that is now the South Tyrol in Italy, Johann Rufinatscha lived most of his life in Vienna where he was mostly known as a teacher rather than a composer.  He did however manage to write 6 symphonies, the last of which I have for you today.  Today's performance of Symphony Number 6 in D Major is by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of principle conductor Gianandrea Noseda.  The run time of 57 minutes should give you plenty of time to check out, drool over or save to your computer the line up of muscular men in their best Monday's Undies on display after the video.  Last week I was in a concerto mood, this week I am in a rather more symphonic mood so I will search the video world for some excellent listening experiences in the symphonic genre.  I hope you are having a Marvelous Monday, thanks for stopping by to visit.  Be sure to come again tomorrow for another symphony and some Sexy Studs in Swimwear.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
