Disaster Strikes!

After I caught up on my shows and read a little in my ebook, I decided to play around with the dual boot thing with Windows in one partition and Linux in another.  I fucked it up big time by inadvertently creating a new partition on top of the original partition thus wiping out everything on my computer.  I fucked it up so bad that I had to format the entire drive and start from scratch with a clean installation.  I have spent most of the night trying to recover what data I could from whatever meager sources I had at my fingertips and some old back up CD's.  I still lost a ton of data and score upon score of photographs.  The major result of that is there will be no Best of the Web This Week today as all the photos I had to choose from are no longer there.  I can go back to some of the original sources and re-save them, but as yet I have not had the time to put into that gargantuan backtracking effort.  I will slowly but surely recover from this unmitigated disaster, but it will take time.  There is some good news today as I must congratulate Will on the successful completion of his Super Computer Project.  He has the OS installed and is now customizing it and loading favorite programs to make it into his idea of a dream machine.  So basically we are both starting from a clean slate and making our machines into the way we like things to be.   As I did not have time to research a new play list I am posting one I have not heard in a while which contains Three Oboe Concerti in D Minor beginning with the Mozart Oboe Concerto performed by Nicholas Daniel and the BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jiri Belohlavek. Next we have the Concerto for Oboe, Strings and Bass by Alessandro Marcello performed by Il Gardellino with Marcel Ponseele on Baroque Oboe and Conducting. The final Concerto is the Number 2 for Oboe and Strings, Opus 9 by Tomaso Albinoni performed by Il Fondamento with Paul Dombrecht on Oboe and Conducting.  I then picked a random album from those I had been able to recover and have some photos that I thought you would appreciate even if some or most of them have been posted before.  Thanks for spending a little of the weekend with me, maybe I will have more things recovered when you visit again on Monday.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
