I had a nice long visit with my Gal Pal Jennifer yesterday afternoon when I took her a bright bouquet of flowers. I found that she did not actually break here knees but the tibia, which is the larger of the two bones in the lower leg. The right tibia snapped in two in a clean break and is the lesser of her injuries. The left tibia however instead of snapping cleanly like the right one instead split lengthwise from the impact when she fell. This is the one that is going to require surgical repair. She goes back to the doctor on Thursday to find out more about how this is going to go and will keep me informed. Her daughter Jill has flown in from Denver to help her out for right now but will eventually have to return to her home in Colorado. I will do what I can to help out but the physical distance between us will probably hinder my efforts there. Hopefully she will recover quickly and be back on here feet before too long.
It is Super Bowl Week here in America, the build up to the largest one day sporting event in the world is going full throttle. While most locations provide live TV coverage of the event, there is an Internet alternative with live streaming of the event on NFL.com and NBCSports.com. PC World give you the lowdown on how to stream the broadcast on your PC, Smart Phone or tablet. If you are not a sports or American football fan, then you will probably want to ignore all the hype and do something else on Sunday.
If you are into experimenting with your computer or are just plain tired of dealing with Windows or other things Microsoft, then PC World has this excellent article on Linux: A Get Started Guide. The article contains everything from "why try Linux" to how to make your PC into dual boot capable machine so you can maintain Windows while you get familiar with your Linux operating environment with links to other articles and sources to expand your knowledge base to make the transition as painless as possible. I have already partitioned my hard drive, so I may take up the challenge and experiment with Linux myself. I will let you know if and when I do and how that goes.
As for today's musical selection, I have one of GoldieG89's **Recommended** listening experiences with Symphony Number 1 in C Minor, Opus 40 (1924) by Richard Wetz performed by the Cracow Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Roland Barber. GoldieG89 says this symphony "sounds like a lost Bruckner symphony" and it is indeed quite the enjoyable listening experience. While you are listening to the symphony, you can augment your pleasure visually by scrolling down the page to scope out these eminently Humpable Hunks from my Eyecatcher collection. Thanks for stopping in today, come again tomorrow and bring your friends! I apologize for being so late in getting this post up but my whole schedule is kinda out of whack due to my aforementioned long visit with Jennifer. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
