Best of the Web This Week

Welcome to the weekend and this week's review of the Best of the Web This Week.  I hope you are having a fabulous weekend, I know I am as I have managed to catch up on my rest and put together some fantastic photographs for your review today.  To accompany your tour of the photos, I have a monumental work by the Austrian composer, Carl Czerny.  Czerny's music was profoundly influenced by his teachers, Muzio Clementi, Johann Nepomuk Hummel, Antonio Salieri and Ludwig van Beethoven who took him as a student when he was but 10 years old.  The work I have for you today is his Symphony Number 2 in D Major, written in 1814 when he was 23, performed by the American Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Leon Botstein.  The performance runs just over an hour so that should give you plenty of time to choose your favorites among the many marvelous men on display.   Thanks for spending part of your weekend with me, see you again on Monday.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
