Getting Set For The Season

It is a quiet morning here in Fort Worth on the day before Thanksgiving.  This is "Friday" for most Americans as they have the next four days off for the holiday.  Black Friday is the official start of the Christmas Shopping Season and the day to avoid going anywhere near the mall madness that will be happening.  A lot of the sales start at midnight tomorrow, so if you want to maintain your sanity, avoid the malls and big box stores on Friday as it will be a mad house.  I will not be cooking the traditional Thanksgiving dinner of turkey and trimmings, although I love it, as Will does not eat turkey.  I will be watching the football games and I am going to make some home made fettuccine Alfredo with chicken breasts cut up and sauteed in butter and garlic.  I will be posting as usual as I have the day off, so I will try to come up with something appropriately festive.  For today I have a triple play offering from Harmonico101, to whom I subscribe on You Tube.  The play list includes the Premier concert for violin, viola da gamba, and obbligato harpsichord in C Minor by Jean-Phillipe Rameau performed by Trevor Pinnock on Harpsichord, Rachel Podger on Violin and Jonathon Manson on Viola de Gamba; Concerto for bassoon, strings and basso continuo in A minor RV497 by Antonio Vivaldi performed by Orchestra Barocca Zefiro featuring Alberto Grazzi on Bassoon; and Concerto No. 2 for oboe and strings in D minor Op. 9 by Tomaso Albinoni performed by Performed by Il Fondamento directed by Paul Dombrecht on oboe.  The play list is followed by some gorgeous examples of Random Hotness from my archives.  Thanks for stopping in, see you again tomorrow.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
