Almost a year ago now, we had a tornado come through our apartment complex which did a lot of damage to some of the buildings, ours included. Our particular apartment did not receive any damage, however it was all around us. On Wednesday, Fort Worth Code Enforcement officers toured the property and basically condemned the building we live in. I found out about this when the Norma, the Apartment Manager, knocked on my door yesterday morning about 10:30. She informed me of the fact that we now had until the September 26 to vacate our apartment as they are going to reconstruct/remodel the whole building and if I would come to the office in an hour she would give me my new address and tell us the location of our new apartment. Luckily the new place is only about a half a block from where we are now, but it is upstairs rather than the ground floor we have now. It is however a bigger and nicer apartment and my rent will stay the same. They are giving us the Owner's apartment to move into, which is a good thing I would suppose. I am just not looking forward to toting all our stuff up the stairs. We also have to wait until they move the Owners furniture out before we can move our things in. The security guard, Arturo, lives downstairs from our new place and he has agreed to help me as Will is not all that capable of lifting and toting up and down the stairs due to his bad knee. Rachal will also be helping us to move some things. I can't get electric over there in my name until Thursday and the cable guy can't come until Friday, so we will be moving on next Friday the 23rd. Most likely I will not be posting on that day but will pick it up again with the Best of the Web This Week post on Saturday the 24th. That means this week on my weekend days of Tuesday and Wednesday, I will be packing everything up so that when I get off work on Friday morning we can begin toting everything over. Another busy week for me already and it has not even begun yet. Ah, well, such is life in the big city.
Moving on to what we have going on for today, I have music by Miguel Angel Messulam playing the Fantasia in C Minor, K475, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Messulam's performance runs about 15 minutes which should give you some time to scroll down the page where I have decided to do another edition of Naked or Nearly So as it is Friday and we want to be sure your libido is alive, well and just a tad titillated going into the weekend. Thanks for spending part of your surf time here at Nichevo, come again soon and often. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
