Yesterday became a historic day for the people of New York when the State Senate passed the Marriage Equality bill and sent it on to the Governor for his signature. Governor Cuomo held a press conference and signed the bill into law shortly before midnight. New York is the sixth state to pass Marriage Equality and by far the most populous. After a thirty day waiting period, ALL loving couples who wish to join in matrimony may do so. Let's hope the momentum we have gained here passes on to other states, most notably Minnesota, which is where Marriage Equality is next up for debate in the legislature. In honor of this historic occasion I have two videos for you today. The first is Keith Olbermann's Special Comment on Marriage Equality from his new Current TV broadcast and then I have Felix Mendohlsson's Wedding March from A Midsummer's Night Dream. Immediately following the videos are my selections of the Best of the Web This Week from all the photos I have gathered during my web wanderings, any one of which would be a prime candidate for marriage (or at least a little honeymoon connubial bliss!) Thanks for the visit, we will see you again on Monday. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
