Good News, Bad News, Music and Men

In case you have been wondering why I have not posted in the last couple of days.... I have been in a mental funk lately (Will says I have been a total bitch) as I was extremely disappointed in that I did not get the new job I was hoping for.  This means I am still stuck at the corner of Crazy Avenue and Stupid Street with the various denizens and the occasional totally deranged mother fucker who wander in the doors of the store in the middle of the night.  Thus my mental funk.  I am still looking for a new position that will better benefit the family that Will and I have created and I guess hope springs eternal in that regard although the economy seems ever willing to defeat my efforts.

In the news this week was the story of the death of Osama bin Laden which neither excites me or depresses me.   It does cause the thought "when will the world learn that state sanctioned execution does not beget peace in our time?"  As hate begets hate and violence begets violence, how many more people must die before "our side" and "their side" give up the fight to prove how much more "right" one cause is over another? Just a thought....

On a more positive note, I read several good articles today that I will share the links to rather than talk about them.  You can read them and be uplifted as I was.

Now for the musical portion of this post, I have collected several videos from handsome, young cellist Luka Sulic and friends.  Luka Sulic plays Cello on all pieces which are as follows: Granados Intermezzo with Petrit Ceku on Guitar; Rogelio Huguet y Tagell Flamenco; Tchaikovsky Nocturno; Franck Sonata (allegretto ben moderato) with Mia Miljkovic on Piano; Pablo de Sarasate Zigeunerweisen (Gypsy Airs) arranged for Cello by Valter Despalj with Srebrenka Poljak on Piano from his performance at the Concert for Japan from Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb.  The videos are followed by a extra helping of handsome hunks for your Hump Day edification.  Thanks for the visit, do come again.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
