Best of the Web This Week

Welcome to the weekend, I hope the weather where you are is as beautiful as it is here right now.  Sunny, breezy and warm, just perfect for the weekend activities.  Tomorrow is Mother's Day here in the US so all you guys remember to call your Moms, even if their love for you is conditional (as is my Mother's for me), you gotta respect that she is your Mom.  I will call mine and call again next week as it is her Birthday followed eight days later by the big 60 for me on Memorial Day Weekend.

I was listening to the local classical station (WRR101 in Dallas) on my way home from work yesterday and they were playing a trumpet concerto.  I thought that since I had not featured the trumpet in a while I would put together some trumpet concerti for that post.  Unfortunately when I was doing that post, You Tube was inaccessible, so you get trumpet concerti today to go along with the Best of the Web This Week photos selected from the over 600 I captured this week.  The concerti are the Vivaldi Trumpet Concerto in A flat, Maurice Andre soloist; Leopold Mozart Concerto for Natural Trumpet, 2 Horns, Strings and Basso Continuo in D Major, Niklas Ekland soloist with the Drottningholms Barocken Ensemble, Nils-Eric Sparf Conducting; the Haydn Trumpet Concerto in E flat Major with the English Chamber Orchestra, Wynton Marsalis soloist.  Then come the guys who would be sure to turn your head if you say them on the street or at the beach.

That is it for now, have a great weekend.  Thanks for sharing a part of it with me.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
