Marvelous Monday!

Hello and welcome to a Marvelous Monday here at Nichevo.  I have much in store for you today.  To begin, this week's "top of the blog" photographs will feature landscapes from around the world by photographer Stefan Heinrich as published in Photography Magazine.   Then, while cruising through You Tube over the weekend, I discovered a remarkable young Canadian musician (wouldn't you know he would be a cellist) who at the tender age of 18 has several Cd's to his credit as well as being an old hand at concert performances.  His name is Stephane Tetreault and the earliest recording I found was when he was but 13 years of age.  The performances I have selected for your listening pleasure for this post are slightly more recent, the first is Brahms Cello Sonata Number 1 in E minor, Opus 38 recorded in April of last year when he was 17.  The second is Offenbach's Duo for Two Cellos, Opus 52, Number 3 where he is paired with cellist Kateryna Bragina and the third, Vivaldi's Concerto for Two Cellos in G minor, RV531 (also with Kateryna Bragina) were recorded when he was 15.  It is always exciting to me to see gifted young people giving remarkable performances of great classical music, keeping the tradition alive, so to speak.  Stephane Tetreault is definitely gifted and a remarkable talent whom we should be hearing from for many years to come.  Paired with these outstanding recordings are some equally outstanding photographs of young men in their Monday's Undies taken from the pages of the Eyecatcher blog to round out a truly Marvelous Monday here at Nichevo. I do thank you for visiting and hope you return many times.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
