I am feeling much better today. I haven't taken any meds for about 14 hours and I can still breathe, so that is progress. I don't know what I had and don't really care as long as it is gone. I really don't know which is worse, being sick or having medicine head while trying to carry out a more or less normal routine. In any event, I am better now and we shall move on to more pleasant topics. In my search for content for these pages, I was over at Vimeo where I discovered a musical group heretofore unknown to me. The Abaca String Band was formed in 1991 by Andrew Schulman who plays the 8 String Guitar. Other members of the group are Robert Zubrycki on Violin, Tamara Volskaya on Mandolin, Julie Goodale on Viola, and Bradley Lovelace on Double Bass. Their repertoire includes both Classical and Modern pieces which lend themselves well to the groups abilities to interpret them. I have chosen three videos to illustrate their range. The first piece is Vivaldi's L'Estro Armonico, Opus 3 #3 followed by Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks. Rounding out the set is Ashokan Farewell composed by Jan Ungar in 1982 which you may recognize as the title piece to the 1990 Ken Burns film "The Civil War". All in all a quite pleasant musical discovery which I hope you will enjoy with me. Then, of course, what post at Nichevo would be complete without your daily dose of eye candy. For today, I delved once again into my archives to provide you with some scrumptious, sexy studs for Saturday. Thanks for stopping by to visit, come again soon and often. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
