Winter In My Heart

Today is a good news / bad news kind of day.  Let's start with the good news.   A British sports apparel company specializing in low price soccer jerseys has decided to feature Nichevo on their Blog Awards page bring added exposure to my humble efforts.  Their website, Cheap  Football Tops is part blog and part promotional for their products.  You can click on the link in this post or the one in the sidebar just above the Blog Archives.  My thanks go to them for featuring Nichevo on their website.

Now for the bad news.   Another gay teenager has committed suicide due to overwhelming bullying and harassment.   Lance Lundsten took his own life over the weekend after enduring what was for him unbearable torment for being an openly gay youth at Jefferson High School in Miltona, Minnesota.  His funeral is tonight at 7:30 Central Time and there will be Moment of Silence and Reflection to honor him at the same hour.  You can participate in the Memorial to Lance through the Face Book page set up for that purpose.  I am terribly saddened that yet another light has passed from our world because of hate and bigotry.  Is it not time that the people of this world embraced each other in love rather than beat others down just because they are different in some way.  I urge any of you who are having similar thoughts as Lance because of bullying or abuse in your own life to contact The Trevor Project which is the only organization that runs a 24/7 suicide prevention hot line for LGBTQ youths in the country.  My deepest condolences go to Lance's family and friends for their loss.  May he rest in peace.

Just below is a video of Mozart's Requiem in his honor followed by some eye candy to cheer you on an otherwise sad day.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
