"Zuma Beach, California"

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York is announcing Monday that the Senate Armed Services Committee will hold hearings this fall on "don't ask, don't tell" -- the first ever held in the Senate since the military's gay ban was instituted in 1993. The House held hearings in the summer of 2008.
Maybe this is a sign of progress here in the US. One could only hope that would be the case. It is the first time any open discussion will be forthcoming in that bastion of conservatism that is the Senate. There is a bill already in the House of Representatives intent on repealing the Don't Ask / Don't Tell fractious policy. House member Patrick Murphy, the sponsor of that bill is on a speaking tour in support of the repeal. You can read about his latest appearance here. This policy must disappear from reality as quickly as possible before we loose more valiant service members to this abysmal "reason" for discharge of otherwise well qualified team members. I cannot express my support too strongly in favor of its complete repeal.
Moving from the military to the Mormons, there is a National Kiss-In planned for August 15 and I have posted the video promo below:
I am talking on Skype as I write this and one of my gamer buddies on there custom made a Yu-Gi-Oh card that I think is just outstanding. My buddy is not Gay but is a tremendous ally for Our Cause. Thank you Vivvav! Here is the card, I think you will like it:
