"Tender Colors of a Severe Element"

It has been a hectic week around my place, we still have not managed to get 'Roomie and Gurl moved into their new place so they are still at mine. This is the last week of the month so all the paperwork at the store that has not been rectified has got to be done by Friday, so that has added some fuel to the firestorm of activity also. Thankfully I have managed to spend some quality time with Will on Skype to keep my sanity intact. It has been a good week for our civil rights, too. With GLBT couples in Iowa beginning to marry and the passage of the Matthew Shepard Act by the House of Representatives yesterday. Now we have to get on those Senators to pass it also so President Obama can finally sign into law federal protections for us. We have the ball rolling, let's give it another shove on down the hill to freedom.

Will and I are quietly communing as I write this, sometimes it is just comforting knowing each other are there on the other end of the 'net. Words are not always necessary, and sometimes they just get in the way. We have done a lot of this over the last year, sharing time without always sharing words, but comfortable with the presence of one with the other. The remembrance of these times always brings a smile to my face and a warmth to my heart. Thanks, Will, for everything. "You'll get by with a little help from your friends."
