Congressional Quacks and Lame Ducks

"Heavenly White"
Grand Canyon, AZ in Winter

The times are fixin' to git int'restin' as they say around here with the new Congress being seated today. The Republicans are stewing over Franken's win in Minnesota and the Democrats are hemming and hawing already. Let's hope they can all learn to get along and get something done to get this country going again. It is time to shit or get off the pot and it is up to us as "we the people" to see that they get the job done right the first time instead of fiddle fartin' around with piddly BS just to fiddle and fart. I know that is what they do second best but I am hopoing for more from this Congress. Oh and what they do best of all is cater to their own self interests and pocket books at our expense. I keep hoping for better there too but I think that is a wish in one hand situation.

George and Dick and Karl have managed to slyly be real dicks to the incoming President-elect. The traditional residence for the President-elect is the Blair House in Lafayette Park. However the Obama's are staying at a posh DC hotel because Blair House has somehow been booked up with White House functions all the way up to the Inaugeration. I smell a Rove... I mean rat in the woodpile somewhere thereabouts. There is nothing wrong with the hotel where the President-elect and his family are staying, it is just not where all the other President-elects have stayed. Just a small petty digg by the outgoing administration which has proven over and over again that nothing is beneath them. I hope they hear that countdown clock ticking in their nightmares and in every waking moment until such time as America is rid of them for good. Sorry, did not mean to go off on a rant but that has been stewing in my mind since I heard about it. You guys know I just had to say something!

Now on to more pleasant offerings. For your entertainment pleasure, your Uncle has selected a delightful group of young men all set to be your Tuesday Temptations for this week. These guys are sure to take your mind off any hi-jinks they pull off in Washington today. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
