Monday Morning Ramblings

Sabie River, Transvaal, South Africa

I had a great day yesterday, it started great with the Sunday Morning Quiet Time and continued throughout the day. Services were marvelous at Open Door and as I was committing "burnt offerings" to the powers that be in the smokers corner of the church yard I got invited out to lunch with a group of guys. We went to a Chinese Buffet and pigged out for a little while, but mostly just enjoying the camaraderie and conversation. After they dropped me off at the hotel, I finished up my buddies project except for a couple of revisions he wants me to do today and he paid me for my efforts, more to the good for that! My buddy wanted some traffic photos around the store he is looking to franchise so I brought up Google Earth and started cruising the neighborhood. It was like visiting an old friend, as the store he wants to franchise is about block from where I learned to swim as a child at Sycamore Park across from Polytechnic High School just east of downtown Fort Worth. The store itself is on what used to be in my youth the party drag street where everyone went on weekends to cruise, party and have a good time. So indeed it was a trip down memory lane. Google Earth is a fascinating program which they have improved somewhat in that you can now save the images in a jpeg format instead of whatever it was that it used to be (whatever it was it was very hard to save a photo in a non Google Earth format). They have fixed that now along with providing some other upgrades to make its operation more intuitive and user friendly. After emailing the photos to my buddy, I lay down for some rest , but only slept a couple of hours then was up a little while before napping for another couple of hours. I just don't sleep for long periods of time anymore unless I take "assistance", nor do I eat as much as I once did. I am surprised but when I fix my normal portions I eat about half and then I am full. I am not about to complain as the controlled weight loss I am experiencing can be contributed to my lighter eating habits and my long strolls around town. I am not a runner so I do not jog, but I can walk for what seems like forever, but not as long as I used to be able to do. I guess time tells on us all, however I will not let that deter me from doing as much as I can. To put the icing on thecake of the day, I got to do some training of a new employee for one of our Shreveport, La properties. Evidently, they like the way I do my job so they are sending people from other properties to learn from me. I love to teach, seeing the light go off when a mind grasps a concept is such a turn on for my mind. It also helps when you have bright students who are eager to learn. Sunday nights are slow enough to provide plenty of time for training without its being fragmented by interruptions which is another good thing. So here I sit on Monday morning happy as pig in a poke and very satisfied with the body of work accomplished in the last few days.

We have some people out on vacation the next two weeks, yay! overtime! I should have another good check this time which makes the planned purchase of a Nikon CoolPix 8.0 mega pixel camera a solid reality come payday. This will add the additional element of personal adventure photos to bring to you as you scroll down the page. Now without further adieu, I give to you the men of your fantasies (or mine at least, although I do not hear any complaints about the hot guys I feature here at Nichevo). With my collection now approaching 80,000 images, I do not think I will run out of inventory there for a good long while. You don't have any objections to my not running our of eye candy anytime soon, do you? Thought not, lol! Until next time as always, Enjoy!
