The Perfect View
I had a great weekend although work once again prevented attendance at Open Door services. I really cannot complain as I am getting some overtime and solidifying my position within the company. Uncle must after all take care of Uncle before he can take care of anyone else. It does help to realize I help people get what they want (a great night's stay at a great hotel) and in the process take care of my needs too. So it really works out well for all concerned, the guests are happy with their experience, the hotel is happy with its revenue and I am happy with the satisfaction of a job well done as well as the dollars in my pocket. It sounds simple but it does take a lot of hard work from a lot of people to make it happen. I am just glad we have as good a team as we do which makes the whole process easier to accomplish.
In between work times I of course spend many enjoyable hours searching for and creating content for all my loyal readers out there in blog buddy land. In the course of my continuous search for good content I stopped by Daily Motion where I had not been in a while. I found some interesting videos for your enjoyment today. I have trailers for two films Love Songs and Tan Lines, as well as a clip from Love Songs featuring what else, a love song, Have You Ever Loved? Then I ran across a two part video that caught my interest with the title and held my interest with the message. The video is entitled God's Coming Out Story and the speaker is Rev Jim Merritt and I feel we need more messages like this one from more pulpits. If there were more pastors preaching love and acceptance like Rev Jim then maybe we would be a little further along the road to equality than we are. Take a few minutes to watch and see if you are not inspired as I was by the message.
The videos are followed by todays selection in the eye candy department to brighten your Monday. Now that Memorial Day is past, summer is in full swing and there is something happening almost every week to bring folks into the River Cities to pay us a visit. A lot of them have been hot lately too, hmmm Uncle must not lust after the guests (slap on wrist!). Anyway, as I was saying, things will remain busy around the hotel for a while yet, so there are bound to be stories to come out of it. Stay tuned as the journey continues.
