Another Pebble In The Ocean

Great Wall of China

I have to work at 8 AM this morning so I am actually writing this on Sunday night so all I have to do is post it when I wake up in the morning before heading to work. It was a blessedly quiet afternoon behind the desk as two of the large groups checked out, one Saturday and one Sunday. We still have all the Entergy people in house so we are still pretty full. Activities this week include Rider Appreciation Night this Wednesday at Classics along with Karaoke. For the weekend we have the Arthritis Foundation Walk on the 17, then on the 17th and 18 we have the State Disc Golf Championship and the ASSA President's Cup tournaments at Burns Park. Next weekend in the ASSA State Soccer Championships, RiverFest, Memorial Day and my birthday. It does look like the next couple of weeks is going to be busy, busy, busy both at work and at play. I am still hoping for company for RiverFest but don't know for sure if they are coming yet. We will just have to wait and see. TC has promised to fix the schedule so I can once again attend services at Open Door this week to which I am really looking forward.

WS has been having some logistical problems getting out of town so I have him as a house guest for a couple of days. He is fun to be around but he is really stressed about trying to get back to Omaha with all his stuff intact. I have been, there done that so I am doing the Uncle thing one more time for a young person in their time of need. It would be very un-Uncle of me to turn a good young man away in his situation. Once more the safe port in the storms trying to engulf a young man. It is a role I do well at because I have a compassion for those who are experiencing some of the same challenges I have faced in times past. If I can grease the wheels of progress or just help trim the sails as he weighs anchor for the next part of his journey then I am here to do so. It is another one of those pebbles in the ocean that one tosses out to see where the ripples lead. It is not in expectation of any benefit for myself rather I hope it creates a pay it forward benefit for some future unknown person. Your Uncle is cautiously optimistic his influence will be a positive one that would recreate itself at some future point in time.

That being said I will leave you to peruse today's selections in the eye candy section. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
