My Weekend Adventures

View West from Cape Gloucester
Queensland, Australia

Friday and Saturday were relatively calm around the hotel, at least compared to the controlled chaos that was last weekend. We did have our moments that make you scratch your head and say "huh?" like the one lady who had to be hallucinating because she said she wanted another room because she could not sleep in the room she had as it was full of animals. And then there was MM and My "favorite" guest who was on her second room and looking for her third when the GM stepped in and inspected both room 1 and room 2 then invited her to leave with a full refund. She did not accept the invitation with grace as the boys in blue from across the street had to "convince" her to accept the refund and the invitation to depart the premises. Some weekends it is business that keeps you busy then others it is just the foolishness of man that makes this business such a hoot. If you would like to get a degree in behavioral science from the school of hard knocks then go to work for a hotel. The dichotomy that is life is on full display every day with each piece of the puzzle adding to the entertainment/education in all the ways human beings can befuddle themselves and others. Sometimes you really have to laugh (or bite your tongue) when some requests are made. Some folks seem to enjoy making simple things difficult to accomplish by muddying the water with minutiae that is really of no relevance to the subject at hand. Then there are the seasoned travelers that walk in with their reservation in good order, id and credit card in hand, making for a speedy check in for guest and staff. We had two large groups with reservations to night so we preregistered them and made all the registration cards and keys so we could get them checked in quickly and off to their rooms. MM and I work really well together as a team as do JB and I as well as TC. It makes things go so much more smoothly when the gears are well oiled and meshing correctly. Today is pretty full for a day off, services at Open Door followed by Care Team meetings around the area. Then the fun part I get to do laundry. But no washee no workee so that makes it a must on the calender of events. Even with the weight I have been losing I do not think the management would take too kindly to my working in my birthday suit. If I looked like some of the guys in the eye candy section they might talk about it but I do not quite fit in the same body image they project. Ah, well, at least they can love me for my mind! Now speaking of the eye candy section there are a couple of shots today that are NSFW. You know there are just some photos that are perfect as they are even if explicit so that editing said photo would destroy it. So you just have to let it stand on its own merits which is what I have done today. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
