Elephant On The Savannah With Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania In The Background
Well it has been a busy week so far, sorry for not adding any verbiage to the pics yesterday but I was kinda tired so I just posted the pics and went to bed after working all night. I only worked 4 hours last night form 8 PM to Midnight but that was enough. It was karaoke night again and it seems they always up the volume to about twice normal for this event. Not that volume is necessarily a bad thing, but then the sobriety challenged try to sing over the music and then you have the ones that hold the door open to the club. Trying to answer the phone at the desk during karaoke is like trying to hear a whisper on the beach at Normandy on D Day (lol!). I do wonder why people who cannot carry a tune in a dump truck try to do so at the top of their lungs after imbibing just a little too much alcohol. It does make for an interesting evening for people watching even if it is a little bit nerve wracking because of the noise. I do think I might just go postal on the next one that butcher's Patsy Cline's "Crazy", I do love the song but sheesh some the versions I heard last night were shall we say painful! I know that part of the fun of karaoke is getting to make fun of your friends when the massacre a song, it does help if you are as sobriety challenged as they when you listen.
I want to take a moment to welcome those of you who are just discovering Nichevo. I have had several new subscribers and lots of good email and comments from you guys (and gals) out there so I just wanted you to know I do appreciate each and every one of my readers newbie or old hand alike. It is always gratifying to have people discover my little corner of the world, then take the time to comment or email to tell me they like what they find here. That is a big part of why we bloggers blog, the interaction with our readers sustains us making this a labor of love and not a just a task to be accomplished. So to all my friends and fans out there, thanks for stopping by and be sure to come back on a regular basis, we are really glad you are here.
I have some great video for you today. First up is a two part interview by Real Sports of Greg Condon of Troy, PA, a Gay footballer who was outed to his team. It illustrates why we need more openly Gay athletes to serve as role models for those that follow the same paths. Then we have this week's episodes of Holly Oaks followed by a two part video of the 2001 pilot for a CBS sitcom that ran about 7 weeks before getting lost in the shuffle trying to compete for air time against Will and Grace. It stars Jason Bateman and is one of the earliest appearances of Gay comic Alex Mapa (Ugly Betty). I don't know the actor's name who plays the Str8 guy but he is pretty hot. The premise of the sitcom is based on the big screen film Kiss Me Guido. I really wish this one had found it's audience because it is really funny. The videos are followed in due course by today's eye candy section - would not want you to do with out your man fix for the day! Until next time as always, Enjoy!
