It has been an interesting morning so far. The phone starting going off with text messages and calls at 7:30 this morning blasting me out of a deep sleep. I was sleeping late as I have to work the mid shift tonight, but looks like sleeping plans did not work out. Maybe I can catch a nap this afternoon. Anyway, I got up and before I could even fix breakfast my partner in the moving company called saying he had a project for me. Turns out he just wanted me to copy his Photoshop 7.0 disc. So I got out my nifty little Nero program and made him a copy, saved a copy on my hard drive and of course installed Photoshop 7.0 on my computer. So now I have a new toy to play with, we will see what we come up with. I have never used Photoshop so I am sure it will be a learning process but with the source material I have to work with who am I to complain?
I also chatted with Ryan who is in Atlanta with Mike visiting his mom and Corey. He filled me in on all their plans but he has not posted them to his blog yet so you will have to wait to find out what I know until he is ready for the world to know. He posted the following pic on his blog so I am re-posting it here. Mike took this pic just a few days ago in West Virginia and shows a lot of Ryan's finer points.
Ryan has let his hair grow out from the last pic I had so I did not recognize it was him at first. The great thing about Ryan is he is just as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside. No wonder Mike is in love with him.

In my surfing around I found this article over at Out Sports: A Bonnie swimmer comes out relates the story of Scott Jordan (pictured below). Scott is a member of the swim team at St. Bonaventure University, a small religious school just south of Buffalo, NY. I am always pleased to see college level athletes come out and serve as examples for those who have yet to follow in their footsteps.
In a this excerpt from the article Scott says: "The first month of the season was extremely difficult for me. Worried about how life would change now that I was out, I would wake up in the morning and not want to get out of bed; if it wasn't for morning practice, I might not have. I was upset with myself for caring too much what other people thought about me, but I couldn't help it. Ultimately, it was the team that helped me come around. I slowly realized my teammates still respected me and still liked me, and that social support made me feel better. My relationship with my team is awesome, and increasingly I’m finding it unique. Contrary to my initial fears, my team’s love for me hasn’t changed, and I’ve found them all to be completely accepting of me." The more we see college athletes come out to their team mates while continuing to perform at high levels of proficiency in their chosen sport, the easier it will be for future athletes to do the same thing. Now if we could just get some pro athletes to take the same step while they are still playing.
Finally, to close out today's post we have another set of fine photos from the Woodsmn collection. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
