I have had a couple of surprises today so I thought I would share them with you. I got home from work and checked my email and found a new friend request from My Space. I went over to my homepage to check out the profile and I found a beautiful woman who could sing. Where she found me I don't know yet but her name is Angelique Kidjo. Her music as described on her profile is Afro beat / Nu Jazz / Pop and I could swear her song Tumba has a real Latin influence. She sings in a variety of languages, I know the duet with Dave Matthews is in French and English but I am not sure of the others. You can listen to the songs here, there are four of them. In what is a first for Nichevo, I have a woman as the lead photo, but I though you should see her here first then go check out her music at the link above. After adding her as my friend, I went to check out my friends pictures, I was stunned then delighted at what I found there.
A while ago when cruising around My Space I found the profile of one of my all time favorite actors whose career I have followed avidly for many years since I first saw him on the small screen in a teen heart throb role lo these many years ago. So I put in a request to be his friend never thinking that he would respond to much lest approve my request. He hasn't been on in a while so I had almost forgot that I had requested him as a friend. So this handsome actor whom I have admired for so many years approved my friend request and so now I can say Johnny Depp is my friend on My Space. I t just go to show you that you never know what you will get until you ask. Johnny has been a favorite of mine since 21 Jump Street and I have seen all of his movies. He can do funny, he can do sad, serious, camp, straight and narrow. You can check out his My Space page here. Oh and he's not too bad to look at either.
