Cowboys Kick Giants, Widen Gap in NFC East

With one second remaining on the clock the newest Cowboy, Martin Gramatica, blasted a 46 yard field goal through the center of the uprights at Giants Stadium at the Meadowlands giving the Cowboys a 23-20 victory and a two game lead in the NFC East. It was a hard fought victory in which both teams and both young quarterbacks played their hearts out. Let nothing be taken from Eli Manning, he did everything he could to provide his team with a victory, including a touchdown to Plaxico Burris with one minute remaining. Tony Romo then drove the Cowboys to the winning field
goal.
On the first play, Romo scrambled out of trouble to the left side of the offense and hefted a tremendous throw 42 yards down field to tight end Jason Witten leading directly to the winning field goal second later as Eli looked on in dismay. The on field celebration by Martin was so exuberant, Jason constrained him so he would not land wrong and hurt himself. I was an improbable moment for Martin as he did not play last year and was cut earlier this year by the Patriots. It was as Romo said a total team victory with even Totally Obnoxious contributing 84 yards on 8 receptions, and two touchdowns by the machine, Marion Barber.
