I sure hope you guys enjoyed our little musical journey yesterday, I know I sure did both on the original journey and the replay posted here yesterday. Will and I spent most of the weekend listening to their music in the background during our conversations. Saturday night after I got off at 10, Will and I once again hooked up on Skype and talked for several hours. I keep kidding Will that the best thing about his injury is the amount of quality time we have had together. His response is usually a laugh and a "fuck you" We pursued a somewhat different avenue in our web wanderings on Saturday as compared to Friday. We went for comic relief rather than musical majesty. We spent several hours at a site that celebrates the foibles of mankind as recorded on video. You can think of this as America's Funniest Home Videos on Acid. You have to wonder what some of these folks were thinking when they began their little adventures. I have not figured a way to put the videos on these pages so I will point you in their direction and let you see for yourselves how funny humans can be. Start with this video at Today's Big Fail and after you h ave laughed your ass off at that one, click on the Random Fail button at the top of the page. Be prepared to spend some time laughing till it hurts.
Sunday was a quiet day and our conversation in the afternoon was a pleasant passage of time. We really did not do much wandering, Will was getting set to record some walk-through videos for the game Kameo which you will find on Will's You Tube Page. They are some terrific videos with great game play footage, excellent music and of course commentary by Will. That pretty much brings you up to date on our adventures, I slept most of Monday to get ready for the Muesday stretch run that began at 10 last night and continues until 10 tonight. I then get 24 hours to recoup before working again on Wednesday night.
That brings us to the pretty portion of this broadcast. It is no secret I wander the web in search of excellent eye candy to bring to you guys here among other sources at my disposal. In my daily gatherings , the photos do not always fit into one neat little category or another. Today's selections reflect that fact. I glean the best of my gatherings to display here for your edification and lusting pleasures (and mine, too!). So here is another edition of Random Hotness to get your juices flowing. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
What a wonderful weekend I had. Fraturday did not turn out to be so bad after all. Before he left for the evening, A asked me to switch shifts for Saturday from 6-4 to 2-10. I readily agreed, 8 hours versus 10 hours plus a chance to get some sleep too, 4 sure a good deal. It also meant the opportunity for some quality time with Will without having to rush off to bed to get some rest before doubling back to work. Will and I made the most of our time too in a pleasant musical journey of discovery. Will in his many wanderings on the web ran across this video which I am unable to embed here. However it lead to his search for more information on the musical artist(s) credited in the video. Thus began our most pleasant journey of discovery of the musical organization known as Immediate Music and their diverse collection of composers and musicians. While the name may not be familiar to you, I am almost certain everyone of you has heard some of the music produced by this stellar musical organization. The following is from their Wikipedia page:
In 2006, Immediate Music announced that it would be releasing its first commercial album under the commercial name of Globus. The style of Globus, whose first album will be entitled EPICON, can be described as modern cinematic orchestral music fused with contemporary and world music rhythms."
Will and I spent the next few hours listening to and discovering more information about this marvelous group of musicians. Both Immediate Music and Globus have their own websites where you could spend literally hours enraptured with the music found there. A list of composers involved in their many projects can be found on their Wiki page and a list of their thousands of credits can be found here. An enterprising You Tuber has uploaded a lot of videos of their music among other things that can be found on his page of which I have posted what I think are the best examples of the breadth and depth of their work. You can see a video montage of their movie credits made of movie trailers from their various projects on this page. and you can buy the debut album by Globus, Epicon, directly from their music label, Imperativa Records, here. I hope you enjoy this journey of musical discovery as much as Will and I did while we were on it ourselves. As you watch the videos below and at the various sources linked to above, you will find yourselves saying "wow, I remember hearing this in the movie...".
There is more to tell about the weekend but I have rambled on too long already today so we will get right on to the music which is followed by this week's edition of Monday's Undies to beguile and entertain you. Check back tomorrow for more from this past weekend. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
