D-Day!

D-Day is finally here and I am so excited.  My new computer is on the UPS truck, out for delivery and on its way to my place.  Unfortunately, my place does not come up in the route until 3 or 4 o'clock this afternoon.   It is like midnight Christmas Eve and I have to wait for Santa Claus to come sliding down the chimney with my presents.  Santa Clause being a 6'2" black man wearing a "Big Brown" uniform.  I will probably be watching like a hawk ready to pounce on a mouse for him to arrive.  All is ready for the transition, all I have to do is wait patiently for the big moment to arrive.  That being said, I will try to sleep some this morning because I know once it gets here, there will be no going back to sleep, lol.  Ah, well, one does what one must to pass the time.  To help you pass your time I have some hot lads for you to cruise on the way down the page.  I will let you know how the transition goes in tomorrow's post.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!

So Close, Yet So Far!

My new computer arrived at the UPS distribution center in Fort Worth at 2:19 this morning.  As today is not a delivery day for UPS, I still have to wait until Monday for the joy of the arrival.   By the time it does get here, I will surely be antsy as a cat in room full of rocking chairs.  Will is going to be copying off all my files on to his external hard drive on Sunday night while I am at work and then all will be prepared for my great transition into twenty-first century technology with my first new from the box computer for personal use.  I have always taken used parts and created a whole so by definition was "slightly behind" the technological curve at best.  I am looking forward to experiencing  Windows 7 with all its attendant new bells and whistles set to amuse and amaze me.  I am also sure you will probably get tired of hearing about it from me.  The last time I spent this much money on me at any one time was long ago and involved drugs.  I like to think I have been lucky to have lived beyond those days.  Ah, well, back to the future (gratuitous movie reference, I have always wanted to say that with a straight face!).  I feel like a little kid.  Like it is two days before Christmas and that big box under the tree is mine.  I know what it is, I know it will be wonderful and amazing, and I can't fucking wait to get my hands on it!  I do hope you guys will enjoy my little journey into the discovery of the modern marvels that will be available to me.  If not, the eye candy will still be a plenty marvelous reason to stick around these pages now and again.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
